  • what b16 to use

hello everyone, well i just got off of google trying to do some research on the b16's but i have left with the biggest headache trying to figure out which one would be the best fit for my 96 civic ex, right now im rockin the y8 single cam and im ready for a lil more umfff, so im wondering which b16 would be the best fit. i here to stay the same obd as my car, but its confusing to know which is obd2, and if im gonna go obd1 for my hondata and tune then would it be better to start off with a obd1 b16? Any way i just wanted to know what you guys think would be the most cost effective and easyiest b16 to do....also if you know any good sites or places to buy from that would be greatly appreciated.

b16a2 is best for your car bro already has crank sensor for the obd2 to be wired in knock sensor and soo on so forth, i have a stock b16a2 on boost in mine zero problems.

^ correction.... ls is junk, u can be like every retarded on planet earth with a swapped ls or buy a good engine.

A b16a2 will b slow in ur ek but it fits right in no problem just mount it up and hook up tha plugs and go.. a jdm b16a puts out more horsepower and torque than tha b16a2 but the motor comes obd1.. which is still no problem swapping the motor.. just gotta switch ova a couple parts from the old obd2 motor and some wiring maybe.. a jdm b16a obd1 sir II is similar to an american gsr.. they are on tha same level playin field.. lol i wuld go wit tha obd1 b16a sir II swap..

no way..... ^^^^^ b20 vtec is where its at..... hands down i like my b16 better over a GSR think about it a b16 shares the same head as the TYPE r its a pr3 stamped head,, money wise your better getting a b16 and using the head better end result then a GSr
