  • help me starter problems

i have a 99 auto ls eng that i made to a manual and was told my 5spd tranny was a 98 ls tranny. i went to auto zone to buy a new starter brought my old one in so i can get the credit and i order a 98 integra non vtec manual starter. it look completly different then the one i brought in like not even close. so just maybe i said let me c the auto starter see what that one looks like it look pretty darn close to the one i brought in so already fed up with the ppl in autozone i took the auto one cuz they insisted that it was correct cuz it looked the same. when i went to put it in it wouldnt fit flush with the tranny like the holes didnt match up perfect so i said this makes no sense the starter bolts up to the tranny the engine shouldnt have anything to do with the starter bolting up now long story short i picked up the manual one the holes where they bolt up were def not matching like not even close at all. the auto one were pretty close but it just didnt fit flush with the tranny so after a whole lot bs they wuldnt even give me my old one back the one i walked in with in the first place and now i have no starter. does anyone know y it didnt fit did i do something wrrong someone please help me....

you need a 5spd b series starter. auto wont fit goto a different store and ask for a 98 integra ls starter. then check to make sure they got the number right when they took it off the shelf.. sometimes they grab the wrong one from the shelf
