  • DA electrical issues

hey ct/v, a little over a month ago i bought my 91 integra from 83rolla.

when i bought it the seat belts didnt work and still can figure out why!

also my cig/dome lights/clock fuse(#14) keeps blowing everytime you put a fuse in it. it doesnt matter how high the amps are it still pops.

it pissed me off to the point where i just put a wire in it to see if anything started to smoke. now i know this cant be good for it but i thought id take the risk to solve this damn problem. However i didnt see any smoke but the coating burning off of the wire i put in place of the fuse.

i am in need for help! its driving me nuts. i cant see at night trying to get my things, cant light a cig when my lighter is missing, cant even tell the time, none the less reaching around to clip in the passive belt is a pain in the arse.

so if you got some tips advice ect it is highly appreciated!

no my radio isnt shorting and everything has been checked time and time and time again to triple-quadruple check

Thanks for your time i hope i can get some help in solving this 3 das and never had one electrical problem

i know i have a short somewhere i cant figure it out tho as soon as the fuse is put in it blows and its pissing me off! i unplugged half the plugs out the fuse box and it still does it please help.....

bout to find some one in the area to fix this shyt

Alright. Try this. Take the dome light off and see if the previous owner messed with that wiring. I've seen pol mess with that and create a short that blows that fuse. If that's all good then check the cig wiring and do the same. And same with the clock. If they all seem good then with a muiltineter check the voltage in the 12v wire on all the 3 thing to mak sure u have a constant 12v same with the ground wires and the acc 12v wire on the clock I think the clock has a acc wire not sure. If one of those wires don't test right then that wire has a short somewhere and it's no good and just add a new wire in. If u don't have a muiltineter ur best bet is to unplug the dome light completely and and add a fuse see if it blows if it blows then try the same thing with the cig light and so on till u find the one that doesn't blow ur fuse. Ur radio is a different fuse so don't worry about it. And as far as the seat belt there proly something that fell in the hole and jammed it up. It happened to me once I was doing an alarm and a piece of wire coating fell in the hole and jammed it up so I had to take it apart and take the piece that fell In out and I was good. Hope that helped
