            check your oil level.
make sure you dont have a CEL for your vtec solinoid
make sure your oil pan isnt dented to bad, sounds dumb but its true
            Honda sucks. Over priced junk.

not to sound dumb but try with seat belt on because with out it mines is like that if i pass 5k in my sohc it wont go on but if i put my seat belt on it it works its wired i think it would work if all lights are off in the cluster like cel and brake like and belt light some cars are wried

#1 check the oil, VTEC works off oil pressure so check that first
#2 Make sure your car is warm or VTEC won't operate as efficently
#3 Check that solanoid! U said oil was leaking make sure it didn't mess up the wiring, I've seen some hack jobs on that with tied up wiring and tape!
#4 Make sure that ECE is a P72 ECU, it will say it on the side.
#5 Change the VTEC solanoid gasket, it may be leaking oil and there is a screen in there that can get plugged up and not allow oil in, its like 12 bucks from Honda and a 30 min job at most if it's being done by a one handed mentally disabled monkey :d lol!
Hope this helps cause everyone needs VTEC in thier life! :)
