i rent mine from advanced auto and i have a socket i cut open on each side to make it easier to put the clips in made it a very quick job for me. and it was like 20 bucks to rent it

i just had the same issue tryin to find one. i found a few but they were $150. so i ended up using a break spring tool the one that looks like a screw driver, to push the springs down while i used a magnet to pull the retainers out. its a pain, but beats spending 150 on a one time use tool. i bought one from auto zone for 30 first and it only fit on one spring.
