if you go b20 make sure that you sleeve the block when you go boost , but if you go ls turbo i would try and rebuild the bottom end, the rods are weak. or atleast try and get arp rod bolts

Unfortunately i dont have dyno sheets, nor am i going to hit up my friend saying "hey can i get a dyno sheet some cats on ctvtec dont believe the power you made". I have no reason to lie, you think a stock motor cant make serious power boosted? Its all in the tune, she took her car to evans, who knows his shit, especially when it comes to tuning B-series motors.

Shit my friend cody had a T3 super 60 on a STOCK gsr at 9psi made a touch over 300whp, and daily drove it, why are these things so hard to believe? Years later after his headgasket went bad he built the motor and had a 450whp 2.0L pump gas street driven car and over 520 on race gas. His name on HT was dunkd, look it up, these things can happen in real life.

And with a 300whp car, things will break, or things may not break, depends on the dumbass behind the wheel, the quality of the build and tune. But with that being said, goes for any hp level car, my coworkers kid was breaking shit left and right on an unmodded integra LS. Why? because he drove like he was in the fast and the furious, respect the vehicle and it will be good to you.

cylinder walls on B20's are thin and prone to cracking under pressure, even on high compression b20/vtec setups, its more or less a hit or miss thing.

evo-- well then i still cant believe that a stock gsr is daily driven stock making 383hp i dont care who tunes it.. tuning is all the same some ppl are alil more skilled then others but if ur telling me a stock gsr made 383 i wanna see it running daily like my car.. and 300 out of a stock ls daily driven also lmao i wanna see that........

its easy to make 300 hp on 9 pounds on a stock gsr .. u just need the right bolt ons .. i made the same thing so ur not telling me anything new.. and if i meaning me ever sleeve a motor i want at least 700 hp no less if not i might as well stay stock making 200 to 350 for the streets.. and yes like i said in the other paragragh i dont believe a 383 hp stock gsr was daily driven like my car.. my car is a daily driver

its always the guy behind the wheel most of the time when it breaks but yea sometimes its the car.. if u dont know how to drive then ur gonna break shit with boost i broke my first boosted motor in 2 weeks

i know the walls are thinner but there still good to 350 tq ... why does everyone keep saying sleeve it like he is making more than that all the kid wants is a daily driver that makes good and fun power stock.. that all he wants if he was going to build it then thats a diff story feel me

Take a b17 Gsr block, wit either a ctr head, or itr head do some nice internals on the block bolt ons, get the right ecu and let Dave tune it, that shit will be a sleeper!! People will assume it's jus a old skool Gsr, but it ain't, I used that set up on my orange ek hatch, and that shit ran!! That's a good swap to invest, forgett that lsvtec b20 is ok

If you are looking for a less expensive route, B18B's can be had on the cheap, picked up my old swap for like $700 complete with 70k on it. I'd throw some headstuds at that, and boost away with a good tune, make over 300whp dependable daily driver.

Otherwise you can boost a gsr, my friend nicole had one with just headstuds, injectors, fuel pump and tune and she boosted that bitch to 383whp at 15psi. Thats one insane street driven car.
Never claimed her car was daily driven ;) All I know is the car had headstuds as far as internals went, had a pretty aggressive fuel setup, and it was dynoed at The Shop in bridgeport by Kenny

gotta question for all you guys...so would it be ok if you dont sleeve and leave a b20 stock and make an estimated 200hp or maybe 8 psi of boost? would that be a reliable, long lasting daily?
of course if you care about your car and only rev high on weekends :)
