put the engine on TDC (top dead center) instead of using the front markings of the cam gears, check the back of the cam gears, there are markings back there for better timming points. for some apprent reason, on GSR, those stupid markings in front never work too well. Def check out the valve lashing as well. I had the same issue with my itr cams, until I redid the timing about 8 times... and hopefully your SUPER fuel feeding didnt wash out your rings, but thats besides the point. just make sure timing is dead on. thats what will old it back a whole lot. especially at HIGH RPMs.~StayinFRESHSINCE1982~SPUNKY MONKEY CREW MEMBER #1203 CREW MEMBER #33

Did your crank move at all?
Set the crank to TDC (number 1 piston should be all the way up top, or you can look at the crank pulley...either way)...then line up the cam gear marks facing each other in the middle to set the cams at TDC I believe (check Haynes manual).
Then you might have to adjust your ignition timing with a timing light and moving your distributor.Last edited by EM1_Chris; 02-12-2008, 09:28 PM.2000 FBP EM1
