  • B16 or Gsr head on a b18a1 block.

Sup Ctvtec. Got a few questions, 1) which head do you think is better on a Ls b18a1 block a b16 or a gsr. 2) do you have to do anything major like money wise to the head to make them fit on the block? 3)or do you think I should just leave the whole Ls engine alone as it is and just get parts for it?...
    *thanks for your inputs*

All Motor / Naturally Aspirated - How to build a reliable lsvtec/b20vtec - I put this guide together because I'm tired of seeing the SAME threads over and over of simple questions that can be answered in one simple post like this one. This thread is designed to be an end-all, tell-all type thread. Please keep in mind...

im sure you done have turbo money i would go with a gsr head and a skunk 2 intake manifold with some headers and a tune and it will be a fun car.. if you have turbo money then i would just boost it

stock is stock...gsr have a tad bit better cams stock vs stock, but the b16 head has the same casting as a type r which tends to attract ppl to them....but if your building a head then doesnt really matter

B16 head flows better then gsr . Or you can use the gsr cams in the b16 and get a tad bit more rpm.. but stock for stock the b16 head is closer to the itr head minus the stock pnp job.. SO you do the math...

I got all 3 heads and best obviously is the itr but 2nd would be b16 or gsr depending on what you trying to do?

I would prolly go with the Ls turbo. Just gotta find a good turbo kit.
