  • GSR issues...

yea so i recently did the head on my gsr and now it doesnt start. it turns over quick, sounds good, like it wants to start real bad. but it wont. dizzy is lined up, no leaks anywhere, its torqued down proper, no unusual smoke, new plugs, its gettin fuel/spark.... idk whats goin on. i aint no mechanic tho.. any ideas?? i (DONT) wanna say it could be piston/rings... but im still skeptical sayin that. tops of my pistons looked fine, as did my cylinder walls..

Timing is off check it, make sure the cam marks are lined up and that the pulley is lined up with timing mark on the cover

either your firing order is off or your timing is off.

Well make sure the cam gear marks align, I bet it's off a tooth which in some case it won't start

this could be possible. it was my first time doing a head on my own. i think i was worrying too much bout how it lined up as i had the belt on/off at least 5x lol. im pretty sure it looked off a tooth either way i had it.. well see.

                      bump for antique timing lights
