U need a b18 block, and a b16 head is better for lsv then a gsr head

thats personal opinion.. neither is better. just sayin'

besides the conversion kit you got to buy some water pump 22t and gsr/b16 belt depend what you get and you prolly wanna get the tools to do it.

plus you want an ecu thats going to be able to run it you need to hook up the solinoid

B16 head is better for Lsv it flows a tad bit more, type r is a waste. U need the kit Ls headgasket Gsr arp head studs vtec timing belt (I used type r/b16) vtec water pump and oil pump. Also crank girdle for Ls block if your revving past 7500

All Motor / Naturally Aspirated - How to build a reliable lsvtec/b20vtec - I put this guide together because I'm tired of seeing the SAME threads over and over of simple questions that can be answered in one simple post like this one. This thread is designed to be an end-all, tell-all type thread. Please keep in mind...

That's a very reliable guide, one I used when I was Lsv turbo.

cant use b16 timing belt for lsvtec...the belt is too short since a b16a block has a smaller deck then the b18's
