B20 vtec questions.....

I have a 97 hatch with a b16 full swap. The piston rings in my car are totally shot and i want something a little newer, my car has some good miles on it. I just got my B20 in the mail a few days ago, i want to do this swap myself, is there anything thats going to be really hard to do aside from taking the motor out, and putting the new one in? Since the B20 is not a vtec motor can i just place my B16 head on the block and bolt it down and its ok to run or do i have to do some kind of vtec conversion? anyone have any suggestions or answers let me know so i can get started, thanks

-B20 head gaskett
-stepped dowel pins
-cylinder Head Drain Plug 1/8" NPT plug and tap
-vtec oil supply line u can get one form golden eagle with the drain plug
-GSR/ITR head studs/bolts
- GSR/ITR/B16 water pump and timing belt
