  • 91 integra over heating

    my car over heats after about 20mins of driving... when i feel the upper radiator hose its hot and the lower radiator hose is cold. i was think maybe its the t-stat but im not positive does anyone else have an ideal?

    check all hoses and the radiator for leaks. change the thermostat

        +1 change your thermostat, and make sure it's bled properly.

          if i that the t stat out and boil it in water and it closes then i can eliminate that? correct?

            check the rad it self maybe bent fins ect .

              those 2 sensor that r on the side of head under the dizzy... is the temp gauge sensor(smaller connector) and the cooling fan switch???

                its ur thermostat most deff, and yeah make sure u bled it correctly or itll keep overheatin

                  whats the correct way to bleed the cooling system..I replaced the t-stat but its still doing it. Im starting to think it might be the temp gauge sender. the gauge is alittle jumpy

                      When i drive on the side streets i noticed its does heat up as fast. but when im on a main road doin 45 it start to over heat. Does anyone think it could be the radiator? how would i test the out?

                              you have to fill the radiator with antifreeze, then start the car with your radiator cap off. Put your heat on hot and the fan blowing on high. Watch, for about 15 mins as all the bubbles rise to the top of the rad. Make sure to keep the rad. full with coolant, tho.
