  • P30 Pistons

    I jus got my P30 pistons and i wanted to get them put in my b18b. Does anyone kno anyone with good prices who can put em in for me?

    put them on ls rods they snap right in with the c clip

      they have no C clip.. they are press fitted. get a torch from autozone and head up the rod till the pin becomes loose. then repeat the process backwards with the new pistons.. shit is easy. or pay 25-30 bucks at your local machine shop.

              i've heard you can just take the head and oil pan off and press the old ones up through the top and drop the new ones in. but i've never done it before so im wondering if i should just bring it to a machine shop?

                yessir. you can rent a ring compressor from autozone. But if you have p30 pistons you need to put em on your stock ls rods before you can put em in. As far as taking the stock ones out it's really easy. As for putting the new ones in it's still easy but more complicated because you have to compress the rings. If I were you since you've never done it before bring it to a machine shop or have someone who knows how teach you. Because you dnt wanna try it without having someone with experience their so that if you fuck up they can catch your mistake.
