  • Brian Crower Cams?

    Any one use? or heard any good or bad about them. may be getting a stage 2 set for my ls vtec cause there a little more in the price range. and better then stock cams. and i was gonna replace the valesprings, retainers,and valves already, and i already have S2PS adjustable cam gears.
    VTEC is just way to much fun

    From my understanding they make no power...stick with gsr or itr ctr cams

      see my original goal was to hit 250 on the motor. and it is seeming more more like it aint going to happen, but i still really want to. idk if my goal for 250 is just outa the picture. its gonna be a lsvtec, with 81.25mm CTR pistons on the ls rods. crank re ground down due to spun bearing, then rebalanced, and in the head, its gonna be like what i said, and the cams, idk. and im gonna be on a S100 dyno tune probly.

      along with skunk pro2 intake mani, throttle body havnt decided what kind yet, intake and exhuast.

        yo i had a fully built poorman type r wit skunk 2 pro 2s and that shit was a monster.. idk how much power it put down but i know it was more than 200 and it was untuned ask dave about it he was dying to tune it

            i would say more around 200-215ish

              thats actually what i was thinking most recently. and i dont really wana change the fuel rail/injectors/fuel pump rite now. im really only worrying about internals, cause once i find a fucking job, shit gets brought to machine shop. and i need my eg running im sick of this stupid slob (aka saab 900s) and i was gonna go to dave for the tune.

                its gunna be hard to get 250 on an oem parts build... ctr pistons,lsrods,ect ..but dave will make the best of your car in any situation

                      im gunna get the ingecters new rail, and pump the same time i do my suspension. i just need to get the car running.

                      well i would love suggestions for cams from more ppl with similare ls vtec builds.

                        op, your not gon come close to 250(no offense). your gon need at least 2.0 liter, waaay better cams, some port work, victorx im, and at lest 440 injectors.

                        if you wan keep the 81mm bore then get yourself some 81.5mm pr3's (ctr pistons are garbage), arp rod bolts, get your head decked, cleaned, flat face valves, full valvetrain, edlebrock performer x im, 68mm tb, at least 370 injectors, and skunk2 PRO2 cams. the pro2's are proven time and time again to make power on 1.8 set ups.

                        a friend of mine in PA put down 226whp with basically the same set up as i just listed. he also had 3inch exh, cai with velocity stack, and rmf header.
