ok guys i recently bought a civic si had a tired motor in it so i bought a new motor from tiger japenesse online got the motor in the car now and i did and oil change and when i start the car and go up the road vtec wont pop till the car comes up to temp once the car gets to normal temp it will work perfect all the time, is this normal iam running 10-30 oil so i know its thicker then 5-30, i was thinking the oil needs time to thin out thats why when the car warms up and its thins it out it works perfect all the time, any ideas?????????? i also have a CEL on due to bad 02 sensors.

if your car isn't warmed up your vtec will not engage. you can get a chipped ecu and run crome and disable vtec coolant temp check.
