so i got the ls block ALLL taken apart crank out everything. and the second rod counting number one being the flywheel side, had a spun bearing and it chewed up the crank a little where the bearing sat obviously. so my question is i bring it to a machine shop to get cleaned up and ground down, all of them (the crank) and i need to know what would i need to get in order to compensate for the grinding? can you just get thicker bearings? do i have to get all new rods? or what. also have a b16a crank thats fine. but putting that in the ls block would be no difference correct? or if i use the b16 crank with ls rods and b16 pistons, would i be achieving anything closer to a ls vtec (basicly wana know if ill keep some tourqe from the b18) or will it be pretty much exactly the same as the b16?
