Since your car is a 99, your obd2. You can use any obd2 ecus. Id stay away from the integra gsr ecu, slightly diffrent maps and some have immobilizers that are a PITA. You can mis-match years, as long as its close to your year. Use an ecu from a usdm 99-00 civic SI or from a usdm 96+ del sol SI vtec both had b16's.
The thing with obd2 ecus, there is no real good way to tap into the stock ecu and tune it.. You have to get a obd1 ecu like a p28 or p72 and use a 0bd1 -> Obd2 ecu jumper harness.Honda's SUCK!

you'll also have to do a lil mod to your stock engine harness if you were to use it...making it non vtec to vtec...quite simple if you look it up... or you can use stock b16 or civic ex engine harness..those are plug and play and require no modification.
ff-sqaud.com good info for wiring.
And if you do, do a b16 swap then your stock mounts are fine but for any b18 swap into a civic requires a bracket you can find the part number if you look up all the info you need.
theres more stuff to but if you serious about it ask questionsYea dot.

1999-2000 = obd 2b
1996-1998 = obd 2a
totally different plugs
your best bet is to get a stock 1999-2000 SI ecu since the motor is stock, but all obd 2 motors have a seperate crank sensor on the oil pump opposed to obd 1 which has it built into the distributer, and obd 2 ecus also look for the secondary o2 sensor in the cat. Something to think aboutLast edited by audiko4; 06-04-2008, 09:22 PM.Originally posted by LilPhilhaha, Ban U for being ugly
