what do these do and is it really neccasary to have one on an lsv

It senses pre-detonation or "knock" caused by using gas thats too low of a grade, and retards timing based on reading. I dont know how it will affect performance if its missing, but at least youll have a pretty little CEL to keep you company. Not to mention you wont pass emissions. But dont worry im missin the knock sensor on my gsr and it still pulls hard as fck

use a p28 ecu and you will be fine p72 ecu uses knock
