sure can! oem 3 layer head gasket. should make you at about 12.8-13.1 compression ratio. Get some chunky cams and run some race gas and enjoy!

P2V might be a concern with pro 2s and ctr pistons. Make sure you check the clearances and clay the motor.

you would have no problem what so ever, the valves clear the piston.

Deffinitly seen tons of people run a more aggressive cam then those listed above.

Whoops didnt mean ctr cams. Meant pro 2's and ctr pistons. And ya most likely wont have a problem but he didnt specify if the head and block was milled/decked and what thickness gasket he'd be running. Always good idea to clay a motor to check p2v, better safe than sorry.

Edit: To the OP- I really hope you plan on getting this thing tuned thats alot of compression on pump gas untuned. IMO those pistons are more trouble than theyre worth Id stick with ITRs

why ctr pistons??? there are plenty of 1.8 set ups making 215-220whp with pr3's. your compression will be too high and they are junk! heaver, more prone to detonation, and worse flame travel than any other bseries piston. you do not need sky high compression to make power.

a set up we did a few years ago

                              balanced rotating assembly
engine bearings from local machine shop
