99 civic lx b16a2 swap

So i have 99 civic lx and i purchased a b16 swap off a 97 hatch,now my question is....i got the engine harness that was on the car/motor,will this harness plug and play to my lx and if so what else would i need to do to the harness,it also came with a obd2 to obd1 jumper harness and ecu,any help would be much appreciated

No they are not the same.

You can mod the 99 lx harness you have to work. Or get a 99-00 si harness for plug and play.

If you plan to run a obd1 ecu then you will also need a new jumper, but then you will NOT pass emissions.

Best to get the car running obd2 then worry about obd1

Also if you bring me your lx harness i can mod it to work 100% No cel's

96-98 are the same obd2a

99-00 are the same obd2b

damn mad $ for a harness. Just get an SI harness so it's plug n play. Unless you know wiring then mod it, It's really not hard to do. Like nhswaps said get the car running then go to obd1. Or pay the $ and have him do it for you.
