  • Ls motor issues!!!!!

STARTriving down the road, I hear a loud clanking noise coming from the motor, I put car in neutral, dies...still rolling I start it back up and put it in 2nd, clanking gets more intense as the rpms climb..drove it for less a minute more then let roll to stop in neutral, dies again..

..checked timing belt, fine, always had a problem with alternator but thats totally irrelevant..car still turns over, I don't let it run though..plenty of oil..

all though the car did about a week ago develop a louder tick when accelerating..I'm pretty sure in somewhere in the head..not sure exactly, helpp??

i'd say bearings. possibly locking the motor up everytime it shuts off. thats what happened to one of mine.

I would not drive it cuz it sounds like the rod may come out the block.
