  • Act stage 1 or 2 clutch?

    Time for a new clutch on my b16 also doin all carbon coated syncros.. heard good things about act and my buddy can get one for a semi discount.. so i got intake and exhaust and doin a header too.. only gonna be a weekend car from now on.. so should i got with a stage one or two ? dont really race or launch my car so im leaning more towards a one but wanted to get some opinions..

    do u plan on racing more? if not then one should b fine while in there i'd get a lightweight flywheel though if i had the money

      satge one is really no different than stock stage two is more suted for u cuz it engages and feels like stock but holds more power but its up too u

        ya dont relaly plan on building my motor or doing any racing other than fucking around with my buddies cars here n there but not alot.

            well the flywheel makes the car funner to drive in my opinion ... i think i deff felt the diff from stock but can't really remember got mine awhile ago

              personally i always rocked stage one exedy and loved it, until i made too much torque n smoked it lol. not to mention i can get you one of those KITS for like 275

                my buddy can get me a act stage one for 300 so i might do that .. stage 2 same price but dont think ill need it and will be a little stiff..

                  well look into exactly what your getting, act dosent have a "Stage 1" like exedy or comp they rate theirs diferrently. Like u cant call act and ask for a stage 1

                    if u really want act i can get u a modified disk with a heavy duty pressure plate for 280

                      personally i had a exedy in my b16 all motor n loved the clutch, it gripped like hell and felt like a stock pedal

                        your right.. so its ACT Heavy Duty Clutch Kit (stage 1) (normal street use) ACT Xtreme Duty Clutch Kit (stage 2) (Drag or strip).. pretty much made my mind up there im gonna do stage 1

                          yo i can get anyone a clutch from street to race starting at like 180 and ending at like300 with warranty and you actually see the guy put it together in font of u for ur certain setup
