no oil pressure

so my oil pressure dropped the other day there was metal in the motor but i wasn't sure if it was from the motor the pan was on previously .. i mean i tried to douche it out the best i could.. changed oil pump today nd it started fine no knocks or ne thing .. but i put a used pump on due to being poor was said supposed to b good ... now went around the block after it warmed up i tried to pop vtec it worked like 5 or 6 times within a little then turned back onto my road went to pop one more time it didn't work nd i watch the gauge start to drop ... i'm gettin may b 2 or 3 psi on idle wuts goin on ??? ne one have a cheap new oil pump 4 b series

the main berings could be shot wont knock just yet but will make oil presser low and vtec wont work with low oil presser. time for a new motor

it probly the oil pump gear thats what pushes the oil round the pump

Sounds like your oil pump is shot. Are you sure it doesn't knock because metal shavings could be a sign of a spun bearing which could cause your oil pump to fuck up.

well tomorrow i'ma drain the oil w/ my handy new magnetic drain plug nd c if theres ne new metal in there if not i'ma vote no bearing issues jus old metal in the pan .... may b the pump isn't good cuz i primed it for a while b4 start up

its probly the bearings that makes perfect sense,,seth said the pump was from a running car,,,it never loses pressure fully now rite????ud have low oil pressure once warm if the bearings were shot
