  • gsr swap problem

i put an obd 1 jdm b18c in my 95 eg coupe, the car fired right up but hits a soft rev limit around 3200 rpms and bogs real hard if i floor the gas, the mechanic that did the swap says the usdm p72 ecu is bad, I'm looking for some input, also could i put my stock p28 ecu in the car just to see if it is in fact the p72? thanks in advance

it will ru non a p28 but not to good it could be a fulty ecu but also could be a wire unpluged some place look over all your plugs and grounds and try to look for a usdm ecu have you p28 chipped if you cant find one call dave the tunner he has a add on here and will help you out.

sounds like you have the tps and map sensor plugs plugged in to the wrong ones. switch em around should fix it.

yea he says it threw a cel but his scanner wouldn't read it which is why he thought it was an ecu problem, ill look into the wires and try the p28 thanks for the help, greatly appreciated

you cant use a scanner to get codes on a 95 eg you cross the 2 wire in the 2 wire plug on the passenger side that hang down near the glove box and it will flash the code have another question is this a authentic unmolested jdm gsr if so a usdm ecu will pop a code for vtec pressure switch cause the jdm motors didnt use them
