idle problem

it idles from 1 to 2 i jumped tha codes and it said map sensor... i changed the map sensor n it still did tha same thing... ma boy said tha intake manifold gasket was broke in one spot... what are some things that mite affect idle problems???

I'm willing to bet you have your 3 pin TPS Connector & your 3 pin MAP Sensor Connector Connected wrong.

Try swapping the MAP & TPS Connector & see what happens.

negative... those are correct... i figured it out... it was tha thing under tha throttle body dat has tha coolant hose goin into it... i took dat out and took it apart there is this lil white thing inside dat has thread and is supposed to be closed... it was all tha way loose... i tightened dat and i cleaned tha fuk outta it white brake cleaner... it made the idle betta... just gotta do tha finishing touches tomoro... the dizzy timing is jusst a lil too far up...

spray starting fluid on the intake gasket, if it makes the car idle different like its going to shut off you have a bad intake gasket...
