i'm looking to build a b20z bottom end with a gsr head and a b16 tranny with a 3 puck spung clutch kit, prolite weight flywheel, and with low compression so i can boost in the future... will this be a good setup? or what do you guys think? i'm not new to building civic's but this will be my first ef hatch build.. built to many eg's with h22's and boost.... looking to do something different.. and the car is auto now, but looking to do the manual conversion...

Nice ideas add some ARP rod bolts, RS machines 11:1 comp pistons, ctr cams, skunk2 nani 68 mm tb 370cc injectors and a good hands on tune and you will have a beast.

yea i hope i can be built by next year! hopefully my uncle can help me? i think he is on here.. but i know dave the guy that tune his guy is here... my uncle has a si bubble hatch red with a gsr block with b16 head turbo... thing is sick... f****ing car put me to seat when the boost kicked in.. loved it.. so i started to build again... people should know the hatch.. my uncle name is johnny from hartford...

im pretty sure the dave guy you refer to is the one who posted right before you lol, dave, he said he wanted to boost it tho so those 11:1 pistons are a no go. sounds like a nice idea but you would have to talk to people who run boost, i heard the b20 blocks werent the best at holding boost though. maybe a sleeved ls block bored to 84mm? or a sleeved b20 etc. if you want an all motor setup what dave said is great. i had a similar setup with b20b block, 12.1 pistons, eagle rods and a gsr head and it was nice to drive but the rings went and now it sits here.
