engine swap probs

So I'm throwin a ls swap in my coupe everyin werkin good until we start it up n try 2 put into gear is sounds like I got rocks in my tranny it grinds n won't catch gears it almost sounds as if suttin isn't hooked up anyone kno wat it culd b?

did you put fluid in the tranny or is there enough

Ya I put 10w30 is dat good it took like 2 quarts till it started dripin out the screw the shifter is loose as hell some1 said mayb adjust the clutch I ono wat else it culd b

u sure the tranny /clutch is good?

try puttin it in gear first then starting it wuts it do if ur car is a eg i dont' think u can adjust ur clutch dude

see if the axles are in the tranny all the way. or maybe got the wrong axles. if the car is off do you have gears? is the pin in the shift linkage correct?

The tranny I baught off some1 off of her he said it was good it was off a old mans acura n he jus wanted the engine I didn't change the clutch off the engine cuz it had plenty of meat on it still so I thought it was good enough 2 get by everythin is put in correctly I hope its the rite axel cuz I baught it at the auto store the pin in correctly n the axel in all the way I tink I need a pro 2 come look at it I put in gear n doesn't move jus grindin like suttin. Not hooked up but I can't think wut it culd b

you might need take the tranny back out and check the flywheel see if the flywheel got grooves or scratches in it.if the car is off will the linkage go in any gears?

did u unhook ne thing in the clutch lines? is it bled

Ya it goes into gears with car off if some1 told me mayb the tranny was missin the bearin I honestly don't member if I seen it on there but ih it was missin culd that b y it don't catch the gears or how bout wen car on n off I put in gear n while in gear it moves as if its still in nuetral side to side?

does it have the throw out bearing on the tranny

yea that could be the problem why you can only get it in gear while the car is off cause the flywheel or main input shaft isnt spinning then

check ur axle it might not be all the way in..
