  • B18 Crankshaft Pos Sensor

I just swapped out my obd2 usdm b18c for a jdm b18 but im using the usdm ecu and harness. I was wrongly informed by a friend that a jdm engine would hook right up to my ecu/harness and run fine so im playing catch up right now. Before i did the swap i didnt have any CELs and the engine ran fine; the new engine runs and pulls much harder but it has a rev limiter at 6500rpm. The vtec works too but i think its only because my VAFC is telling it to crack. I have 3 codes: Crankshaft position sensor, vtec malfunction, and 02 sensor bank1 sensor1. I heard that JDM engines dont have a CKF so im guessing my engine is in a "safe mode" while the computer waits for the signal. Does this situation sound familiar to anyone? Whats the best way to fix it?

JDM engines dont use a Crank sensor or vtec oil senor so if its a jdm engine with a usdm ecu thats why you have those codes. so get a new 02 sensor and and jdm ecu or chipped ecu
        Yea dot.
