broken knock sensor

when i was putting my gsr swap in my integra the knock sensor broke i want to know if i will have to buy another one or do not connect the knock sensor, i'm going to be using a p28 computer , will the car start and be alright

car will start but if its a vtec motor you wouldnt have vtec since vtec looks at the knock senor as a reference. its a chipped p28 have someone burn u a new chip and disable knock senor.

i got a extra knock sensor if you want it 20 bucks they go for 100 new

mite b wrong but i thought p28's did'nt look for a knock sensor

yeah i heard that p28 doesnt look for the knock sensor , my p28 is chipped with crome but i'm not sure if they disable the knock sensor

I think a p28 does look for knock just on the simple fact that vtec looks for knock and since a p28 is made to run with a 92-95 single cam vtec than it should look for knock. but maybe your all right.
