Not sure if there are any experts here but it's worth a try to get some opinions and answer to my questions from different people. I am going to be installing my system in my car soon and I want the safest, reliable, cost efficient set up.I will be using 2 Rockford fosgate amps(t20001,t8002)both require 1/0 awg wire.my plan is to change all the grounds to 1/0 awg wires , 1/0 awg wire with 2 250anl fuses in line on alternator wire. 1 near the battery and one near the alternator.i also will be using 1/0 awg wire from my front battery to my rear battery and I will be placing a 250anl fuse near each battery.so 2 anl fuses will be used on the single power wire.I will also use 1/0 awg wires(2) from the rear battery with 250anl fuse for both of my amps. I know that some people wouldn't even use a fuse(s) on their alternator or battery wires but I do not want my car to catch on fire or cause damage to my equipment.so here are my questions. What's the cheapest 1/0 awg OFC wire that performs well and is a true Ofc wire? Where can I get 1/0 welding wire for cheap?do I have to leave the alternator wires how they are from factory on my Ek(alternator to fuse Box,fuse box to battery) and just add my 1/0 awg wire to the alternator or should I disconnect the stock setup?can anyone on here get their hands on some 1/0 welding wire?if so,I will consider buying some for the right price.
