    you dont necessarily need a whole new wire kit just buy the wire knu koncepts has great deals i bought 25ft of 4awg for 30$

            got it switched..yellow should be hooked up to a constant 12v but the red needs to be an accessory 12v and this does sound like the problem to me..and for caps get 1 fared per every 1000 watts wont fix your problem though

              yea now i have prob with either amp or sub now neither work but amp turns on wen headunit tunrnson and fan kicks on in amp and sub dont kick on and worked on m,y other amp

                go simply discount the power wire from amp, let it sit over night and see if your good in the morning if not then u have a head unit problem, chances are its going to be a problem with the head unit seeing as the amp is only as good as the head unit in telling it what to do as far as turn on or stay off , also drive the car to advanced auto or auto zone and have your battery and alt tested its free let us know how u make out !!!

                  I had my amp tested today by local audio store and I got sold a broken amp and its no good will be up to $150 to fix so imma sell it fir someone to fix who can and im buyin a planet audio 2200watt for $150 from best buy
