  • sub killin battery

so i think reason y my alt and battery went bad is because subs i was told because either battery was small or alt and battery where a little too old to handle the subs or that i dont have a capacitor....or idk whats goin on and now i need my amp rewired and headunit hooked up again

who has an idea on what might be my issue

the wiring is probably messed up and the headunit is causing the amp to stay on non-stop killing the battery, this happened to me in a 1996 tahoe, i ran a remote wire direct from the battery and installed a switch and it solved my problem

x2 but if the headunit is causing the amp to stay on then thats not gonna solve the issue make sure the red wire to the headunit is connected to a constant source of power and the yellow wire is conntect to a source of power that turns on with the ignition, if both are connected its gonna cause the headunit to stay on even when the car is off which causes the amp to stay on which will kill your battery
