you can run a dual 2 ohm woofer you will just need to wire it down to 1 ohm by running the voice coils in parrellel together like so personally i would just upgrade though a good buy would be a sundown e8v2 http://www.amazon.com/SA-8-D2-Sundow.../dp/B003ZWG25M

^^ what he said. And just get whatever 8" sub you can find cheap. Although 8's aren't that common. Good luck
i made a pixelcar for my sig but i'm too lazy to pm a moderator.

You can find 8" subs on ebay or amazon as already pointed out. Bose audio systems are generally rated at 1 ohm impedance BUT having a 2 ohm impedance wont hurt. You can use a 1 OHM wire wound resistor in series with the speaker.

Be mindful of the fact that you need to use a wire wound resistor, Using a film type resistor will degrade your sound quality to a lot. Since you are using a bose setup i don't think you will be in any mood to compromise.

Pyle makes some decent 8" subs. Check it out....I have many friends who use pyle speakers and they are pretty good imho. If you want to spend more then get a rockford sub....
