1996 Accord Stereo Installation Questions

I just got asked to install a stereo in a 96 Accord. The guy still has the stocky radio installed and wants it removed because he doesn't know the code for it.

I'm pretty good with wiring up stereos and I know the basics. Is there anything that I would need to know about removing the old stereo ? Are there any special tools I might need ? Anything knowledge that could be imparted to make this install as smooth as possible would help.

you will need to wire up the stock dash harness to the harness that comes with the new radio.basically match the colors.youl need elec tape,wire cutters/strippers.keep the battery off while working on it.

Anything else I would need ? Do I need to send this guy for a dash kit or can I just plop the cage in and just wire the harness ?

Yes it requires a dash kit.
