  • Accord new audio setup

I am starting a project on my audio in my Accord LX 05 Sedan.
It will consist of 2 Alpine Type E subs with an MTX Thunder 6500d amp capable of 250watt at 2 ohm and 125 at 4. I bought a JL audio cleansweep system off ebay to input the factory speaker wires into. Now from there I am not sure what else I need. Also I will be taking out the factory speakers except the front tweeters to put in aftermarket ones. JBL speakers and boston accoustic pairs. All of which are 5 1/4 so I know I will need the brackets for those. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Also tell me if any of this equipment is garbage. Don't worry I can laugh off a comment or two. Most of it was given to me.

Alright well, the thing is I dont need a massive sub for my taste in music. I like about every genre for the most part but I don't need a 12 in sub that rattles my doors and truck. Just a punch here and there is fine. Don't get me wrong my friend has those type r subs and they are great. But its just too much bass at least I think. Day after day it gets annoying.

plus it all depends on your headunit. if your headunit has alot of settings you can change everything up so it sounds just the way you want it to

If you dont want a lot of heavy bass, then alpine type e's, Kicker comps, or rockford fosgate p1's will do just fine but if your gonna replace your door/rear speakers, dont go fancy if your gonna run basic subs cuz then your system is gonna sound really gayyy!
                      tired of broke n****z

Hey dude, I would start with replacing the speakers first. over at Driveaccord.net people are just replacing their factory speakers and the improvement is great. I recommended to one of my buddies who has an 06 accord the JL Audio speakers. He absolutly loves them so much he said he not gonna get a sub since the sound is great now. A set up JL speakers (front and back), speaker adapter and harness will only run you 220$....PM me you need more help. I have an 04 accord and I have JL speakers, Subs, and amps and it sounds amazing haha.
