maybe the speakers, could be the outputs on the radio, bad connection, shorted wire. did they used to work and now don't, or never did?

check the connections first..if you have aftermarket speakers and or subs, with a aftermarket head unit you may need to ground the radio/cage on top of the ground of the amp in the trunk. thats what happened to me...also make sure the wires arent pinched in the door panels. people tend to do that too...

if the cut on and off it could be a ground. or bad conection. if they just dont work maybe the speakers or the radio is shot..
