they have a stupid internal fuse that blows it's tiny. it usually goes when you take rca's off when you switch the rca's while your radio is on.

Really? Is it supposed to keep the other equiptment safe or to make customers bring their head units in to be repaired? So I re-ground left and right of each set of rcs's that I am using, correct?

well i have worked in this field scince 98 and have taken tons of courses on trouble shoot and this always came up. you can run rca's on the same side as power as i've seen lots of people do that also but real installs of high magnitude this is really not recommended. scince half the people you run into do not like to use good wiring sometimes theres issues you know..
on the link below is why they say you should not run positive next to a signal wire on number 11 it explains why

Trust me I been doing this for 9 years myself. I know the "rules" and I also know what works. As do you.

If you run them parallel to each other you are fine. Just avoid crossing them over each other. but if you have your batt wire on your driver side, and your rcas on the driver side as long as they are side by side your fine.

Yeah i understand but alot of shops are anal to this it's been a big discussion amongst installers for a long time. personally i just run them on the same side but when i do something real big i run them through the middle dont know why but i like to do it like that..

I've never had a problem running them on the same side. But when I started working at a shop they made me do em on oposite sides. So Do I have to ground out every rca or just one?
