Hey whats good ctv... im buyin a d16z6 this weekend.. i wanna go all motor with this engine... i'm gonna get it machined.. thinkin mild port n polish, 3 angle valve job.. ARP headstuds.. i don't know whether to get retainers n springs.. but lmk also.. i need suggestions on what pistons i should get, cams/camgears i should get, intake + intake mani, tb, headers and exhaust... i know bisimoto headers are hands down gonna b my best option but lets face it they mad bread... im just lookin for parts that will give me real good amount of power, but at a decent cost range... all input is welcome.. but really lookin for suggestion from people who know bout singles... thanks

ohh n btw i know b series are always gonna put out more power so i don't really wanna hear how i should go b series.. cuz wit the d series im lookin at weight/power ratio... n plus wit these gas prices i'd rather stick wit the single.. just sayin.. anyways please bump if viewed also... i really need help with this... also one last thing.. i need to know about a really good machine shop in ct... i need vouches n i need prices.. so a place that is really good and has good prices.. thanks -

bump g/l with ur build. i kno theres a pretty good shop out in colchester ct but idk how much they charge. they did my buddys ls and they did a pretty good job. i can try n get the name of the place n w.e u need if u want itComment

bump... no one has any suggestiuons for some good brand name parts for a sohc d16z6.. such as headers,cams, cam gears, what high compression pistons i should use? n i need vouches for a good machine shop... cmon ctv.. this been up since this mornin n only 6 posts.. n 3 of em is mine.. i know ctv has some good insightComment

You could toss in some DOHC ZC (PM7 or P29) pistons to take your compression up to 12.0:1, then get a hotter cam like a ZEX 59300 or Crower Stage 3 and its matching valvetrain. With tuning, and the setup your planning on running could easily get you to 160whp or more if you're lucky...Last edited by jdmjunkie9753; 03-30-2011, 08:55 PM.
