    car:
    2001 grand cherokee
    4.0 inline 6

    problem:
    blown radiator- easy fix
    wont start now.
    the story:
Kid was goin to walmart about 2 exits away from his house, radiator blew a hole in itself they just shut the car off, left it there overnight went to pick it up this morning tried to drive it back got it about a mile away from his house then the temp started to rise they shut it off let it cool down tried to turn it over and it turns over but doesnt start.

kind of a longshot but if you know any reasons why it may not start lmk

i think theres something in the computer so if it overheats it shuts off and wont turn back on till its cooled down, however im not sure. coolant it everwhere under the hood obviously not really sure what got wet just figured id get a jump on it before i drive 30 minutes to fix it.
    Honda sucks. Over priced junk.

Probably blew the headgasket and seized the bottom end with the coolant getting all inside everything. Your better off just going to chuck and eddys and getting a whole motor from them to drop in. Oh yea and a new radiator lol. good luck with that bro

Bring starting fluid spray it in the intake if it pops your missing fuel if not your missing spark from there church fuses if you got fuel and spark he lost compression, my boy got an 02 and he overheated it and it didn't shut down there's no sensor that kills it if it overheated

Well I figured it out after it blew the side of the radiator off lol it has a blown headgasket causing coolant to get on the pistons and cause a missfire and i don't feel like doing the headgasket

there is a big prob with the waterpump on jeeps and i have made good money off this people say the motor is blown becaus the the rad blows up and then can figure out the over heat issues and it is just a cheap bad quilty water pump. the factory and alot of the aftermarket waterpump use a plastic impeller blades. and then are glued on to the steel pulley. well fromt he heat and presser the glues comes apart and the impeller will not move the coolent..

i would say cheack the waterpump befor you swap a motor in. or simply pull a heater hose off and start it and see if the coolent flow out at a good rate if it just trickles out then great chance the pump is no good. DO NOT put a plastic impller type water pump back on get a good quilty steel impeller one advanced auto offers it made by GMB.

also depending on the year of the truck they do have a over heat shut off on them if the temp gets to high it will kill the fuel pump so not to ruin the motor.

                    good luck mand
