    what is the horsepower output on a built B18A/B NON-VTEC??

    Or what is the most hp seen.

    anywhere between 130 and up lol depends how you built it
    the most i SEEN (talking about seen in person no videos or word of mouth) is a 208hp turbo acura with a cheap ebay turbo system

      wrong i just blew up my non vtec motor after 4 years and count less drag strip runs. block was a 95 b18b had stock Ls crank 89mm and stock rods that were shot penned LS with jdm p30 pistons (B16) also on a stock 81mm bore. the head had mild port work nothing crazy but the cams and valvetrain were all crower 403 cams dual valve springs and crower valves that combo makes 11.1 compression witch is the same as a jdm type r and the motor put down 175hp and 144tq on DRT dyno in NY car ran very hard in a hatch and best time was 14.0 with a shitty 60 foot times. best part about it was telling people that it really wasnt vtec.

      the cons with this motor are the LS motor arent meant to rev that high and you wil adj valves all the time

        ok, maybe i missed something here but what or who is wrong? nothing you said seems to make a point that contradicts what either person said

            he said 130 and up which you seem to agree with since you made over that and he said he saw a 208hp one also so idk where you got that he said 140 was as much as you could make. im not tryin to be a ************ i just thought i missed something

            in fact, idk where you even got 140 since nobody even said 140 at all

                well the "books" say a b18a1 from a 90-91 make 130hp some people that have this setup might say its "built" just by adding an intake system
                i hang out with some of these people that are "built" lol

                  i would like to know what he had done to the car. im looking to build an na ls and am looking for more hourse power than a slightly moded gsr.

                  also the ls with 175hp what was he tuning with because with those cams and pistons i would have thought he would have made more power than that.

                    u really cant get an answer for this question.. theres to many factors that depend on it.. like you said you are looking for a N/A motor.. with out some help from the bottle or boost theres only so much you can do with an ls.. you should just get a b20, sleeve it, and boost the shit out of it :)

                              Most I've ever seen was a na ls out of Springfield mass. It put down 184whp and 172wtq on vp c or q 16 I can't remember witch but that motor was built!! Not sure on specs but this was about 2 maybe three years ago it was running In a red SI crx I'm not sure if he's a member on this site or not...
