  • tuning tricks? (not a honda)

:confused:i was wondering if anyone knws any tricks for a chevy cavalier. the chevy forum doesnt help at all. its a 98 chevy cavalier, 2.2. its cant have anything crazy done to it. its for a track and rules require it to be stock.... but i was looking for some way to tune the engine or something. it has an intake and a straight exhaust... thanks

You're on the wrong platform with the wrong motor!!!

J-Bodys FTL , and if u absolutely had to have one, get the 160hp 2.4 twin cam, thats something worthwhile... the 2.2 is GARBAGE! its still pushrods! sorry to say but ur gonna have to take ur 115hp and live wit it
The least i could hope for is that u have the 2.2 Ecotec, which i doubt so

    Bann for a domestic ricer

im with steaksauce, i mean shit, my old lesabre would destroy 2.2 cavaliers, did it to a couple of my boys cavys, idk man, i'd choose a different platform, those 2.2 OHVs to me are not impressive at all , especially given the displacement, the 2.4 twin cam or ecotecs are nice tho

i have to disagree with u. the 2.2l is more reliable interms of lasting. yeah there is not shit u can do to them but the quad 4's blow up left and right. and like i said, i race this on a dirt track. on the road i drive an accord
